If we relate this to bullying, we can draw a pretty strong message from it. Bullying survives because most people let it. Speaking up and standing up for someone who is being bullied could not only prove beneficial (and even life saving) to them, but it could also help the bully see the error in their ways. Seeing as bullies usually act out against others due to their insecurities, stopping them from bullying and thus showing them how they are in the wrong (in a peaceful yet effective way) could enable the bullies to fix their insecurities in a more healthy way for all.
